At The Concrete Hero, we adore our animal companions. Whether your pets are covered in fur or scales, we get to commemorate how much we love them during this year’s National Pet Week! Pet parents can rejoice as we strengthen our bonds with our pet best friends from May 5 to May 11. If you need a few ideas on the best ways to celebrate this special week, check out the list Kane County Chronicle has prepared.
Homes that are full of sunken, cracked and unlevel concrete are a risk not just for us humans, but for our pets as well. They are part of our family, and we want to give them the best lives. Thus, we need to make sure that our houses are free of dangerous trip hazards.
Don’t worry because we at The Concrete Hero can solve your problems with our concrete raising and restoration services. Read on to take a look at how we helped other clients this week!
Restored Patio For a Great Retirement in Bartlett
This customer of ours in Bartlett was going to be retiring soon. He was looking forward to living well in his golden years, much of which would have been spent relaxing on his patio. But the picture above does not seem like a great place to spend his retirement, does it?
Our crew came in and leveled all the uneven slabs. We also power washed the concrete and caulked all the open joints and gaps. Our client was very impressed with the work we did! His patio is now perfectly fit for his retirement years, as you can see in the “after” photo below.
One of Our Highest Concrete Lifts for a Stoop in Bartlett
Another Bartlett client called us in for a concrete emergency. As a teacher, they qualified for our 10% off Hometown Hero discount. This isn’t the first time their concrete stooped this low (ba dum tss!). Back then, they had the stoop mudjacked to lift it. Unfortunately, it resettled again. They decided to call in concrete experts who knew how to get longer-lasting results – us!
At seven inches, this was one of our highest lifts ever. Once we were done with that, we noticed how high the step was between the stoop and the walkway. It was a dangerous eyesore, so we raised the walk as well to match the new level of the stoop. Now our client can walk easily without worrying about tripping.
Heavily Cracked and Extremely Unlevel Patio Repaired in Mount Prospect
Looks familiar? If you read our previous blog post, we repaired a concrete patio in Schaumburg that was just as heavily cracked. This one is for a different client in Mount Prospect, but the culprit was the same. A sump pump line leaked on the patio. The pipe was repaired, but the patio sunk and cracked.
It took our team only four hours to raise the concrete to the proper level and caulk that huge crack with high-quality silicone. Now our happy client can go back to relaxing on their “brand-new” patio!
