Summer brings a variety of fun activities, just like the annual Summer Games in Elgin to be held this June 29, 2019. The Summer Games has a lot of outdoor events for Elgin residents and the community of Marklund Wasmond Center, a residential facility for people with developmental disabilities. They still need volunteers for the Summer Games, so check this post out if you would like to pitch in!
The Concrete Hero loves events like this that bring the community together. We do our best to play our part in making the world a better place. Through our concrete restoration projects, we not only improve the appearance and safety of living spaces but the well-being of residents as well.
This week, we feature three projects that have made a difference in the lives of locals.
Even Better Than Mudjacking: Concrete Lifting in Mount Prospect
Our client in Mount Prospect was planning on installing a new asphalt driveway. Unfortunately, the concrete in front of their garage’s entrance was unlevel, creating a little speed bump that made driving into the garage very inconvenient.
Although mudjacking is an option, the benefits of this process do not last long. Plus, mudjacking often leaves large and ugly holes. Our client could have had the concrete replaced, but a replacement of this area would have been very expensive. Luckily, we at The Concrete Hero offer concrete leveling services that are 4 to 5 times cheaper.
We simply raised the concrete in their driveway with a polyurethane injection. Unlike mudjacking and concrete replacement, this process is:
- Quick and non-invasive
Our client can enjoy all these benefits with the convenience of a bump-free driveway!
Getting A Patio in Northbrook Ready for Poolside Parties with Concrete Restoration
It’s summertime, the perfect time to relax in pools and have outdoor poolside parties! Our client in Northbrook was excited about opening her pool for the year, but her patio was uneven and dirty. And don’t forget the rotting wooden joints!
All the Concrete Hero team needed was two days. We leveled some of the slabs and steps by her home. Next, we power-washed all the concrete to clean everything. Lastly, we caulked the cracks, replaced the wooden joints with caulk, and applied a sealer to the surface.
All these made quite the difference in our client’s patio! Now, she can finally entertain her guests by the pool.
Concrete Raising to Fix a High Step in Palatine
Next stop, Palatine! Our client was having trouble with a dangerous high step. Welcoming guests into their home was difficult, as they always had to warn people to watch out. But no problem is too big, and no step is too high for The Concrete Hero to fix!
In less than an hour, our crew raised the step back to its original level. We also caulked the gap at the stoop to prevent water from getting under. With solutions that are both quick and affordable, our client can now entertain guests at her home in no time. Plus, the lifetime warranty that comes with our services gives our client peace of mind. She knows that it’s a long-term fix, and not something that we would need to address again.
